urgh - disgusting. don't you have an influence on that? and was the winning cover the one you liked best as well? how much say did you have in it? i mean, if i should choose a cover for a book of mine, i'd certainly want to have the cover that fits my imagination (actually i'd design it myself)- but well, the publishers are probably only interested in profits anyways, so ...
